Position: Plant Manager 
Location: Dar es Salaam
Job description
A pioneer in the African Coatings market is looking for a new Plant Manager in Dar es Salaam. The company has 3 plants across East Africa, and the Tanzania plant is home to 80 full time employees. The company has a family style, cordial culture, despite having a global presence, and is an exciting company to work for as they are known in the industry for their high-quality paints and have a 3 year plan to double their turnover in the country.

The successful candidate will be responsible for looking after the health of the plant and bringing in new technology and machinery. The plant is currently running efficiently, and so the candidate must come in and keep the ship steady through the transition and will be working on a daily basis with other managers in the plant to maintain output. The role will be responsible for the direct report of all the other managers in the plant, including the production manager and dispatch manager.


My client is looking for a candidate withy at least 5 years’ experience as a plant head, and someone who is familiar with the latest technology in machinery and manufacturing. Experience in the General Industrial or Decorative Paints is also going to be favoured, and a degree in chemistry or paint technology is required.
