Job Opportunity at Karanga Leather Industries Company, Assistant Procurement and Logistics Officer – NAFASI ZA KAZI

The Karanga Leather Industries Company Co. Ltd (KLIC Ltd) is established as a joint venture company limited between Public Service Social Security Fund (PSSSF) and Tanzania Prisons Service through its company known as Prisons Corporation Sole to undertake development and operate leather Industries in Karanga Area, Moshi Municipality.

POSITION: Assistant Procurement and Logistics Officer (1 Position)

a) QUALIFICATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Holder of Bachelor Degree or NTA level 8 in Materials Management or Procurement, Supplies Management or Procurement and Logistics Management or Supply Chain Management from a recognized Higher Learning Institutions. The candidate must be registered by the Procurement and Supplies Professional and Technician Board (PSPTB) as a graduate professional (GP) or a holder of CPSP with not less than two (2) years’ work experience in a relevant field.

b) MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in the preparation of Request for Quotation Initiations to Bid, Requests for Proposal and co-ordination of their timely dispatch;
Assist the Procurement and Logistics Officer in maintaining current up to date Procurement documents and Manuals;
Researching pricing obtaining quotes locally on low value items;
 Assist the coordination with the selected bidder to ensure completion of administrative processes including Bid Security, contract award notice and that contract documents are distributed accordingly;
 Coordinate with requestors and make sure the right materials needed. Find out the sample of material to be purchased if necessary;
Assist in preparing procurement evaluation reports;
Provide purchased materials to the responsible receiving office and do all actions for completing the process;
Maintain appropriated records to ensure that procurement process, decision, and contractual agreement are accurately documented for accountability and audit purpose;
Perform other duties related field as assigned by Supervisor.

REMUNERATION
All positions carries attractive package commensurate with one’s qualification and experience.
