Overview
The City College of Health and Allied Sciences (CCoHAS) has been established in its own charter (City College of Health and Allied Sciences Memorandum of understanding and articles of association, 2012). And it has full registration from NACTE since 30 th June, 2013 NACTE number REG/HAS/139.Over the years city college of health and allied sciences has made significant achievement in various aspect including increasing student’s excellent performance in nation examinations and producing highly competent graduates in the country.

The college is located at Mwapemba Street, Toangoma ward, Temeke municipal in Dar es Salaam.

TUTOR II (MEDICAL DOCTORS) – 4 POSTS

Job Description

Qualifications:
Receptacle of bachelor degree in Doctor of medicine (MD) or holder of advanced diploma in clinical medicine ( A.M.O) from a recognized institutions with the three years of experience teaching in college with GPA of 3.5 and above.

Main duties and responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of department, the following are the major responsibilities and duties of the tutor:

  • Accompanying lectures and tutorials in classroom
  • Preparing handouts or other written material for the student
  • To participate in curriculum development
  • To take part in research and consultancy project
  • To participate in setting invigilation and marking of examination, test and assignment
  • Embark on any administration tasks as required, such as maintaining attendance record on each student
  • Supervisor of field practices and clinical rotations of respective student


REMUNERATION:
In accordance to CCOHAS salary scale

TUTOR II (PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES) – 4 POST

Job Description
Receptacle of bachelor degree in Pharmaceutical science or holder of diploma in pharmaceutical science from a recognized institutions with the three years’ experience of teaching in college with GPA of 3.5 and above

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Head of department, the following are the major responsibilities and duties of the tutor:
  • Accompanying lectures and tutorials in class
  • Preparing handouts or other written material for the student
  • Participate in curriculum development
  • To participate in research and consultancy project
  • To participate in setting invigilation and marking of examination, test and assignment
  • Undertake any administration tasks as required, such as maintaining attendance record on each student
  • To guide student in field practice


REMUNERATION:
In accordance to CCOHAS salary scale

Form IV and VI National examinations certified certificates

III. Certificates from foreign examination bodies for ordinary or advanced level education should be verified by the National Examination Council of Tanzania( NECTA)
IV. Certificates from Foreign Universities should be certified by Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU)
