Key Responsibilities
- As Outside Marketing & Sales Representative Air , Road & Ocean Freight you will structure and organize our products in line with our Directions, in such away that it will be profitable, and operational structured to ensure and secure a good, reliable and value added product for our network clients.
- As Outside Marketing & Sales Representative Air , Road & Ocean Freight your main task will be to promote our products in every form to ensure promotion and sales of out possibilities. Your primary responsibility is to realize sales targets and execute the sales strategy as it’s been laid out.
- You will maintain existing customer relations as well as expand our customer base with new ones, whilst keeping your customer portfolio up-to-date at all times by administrating date in the available CRM-system.
- You will visit existing and potential customers to understand their needs and built with the operational team a customized solution that perfectly fits with customers’ requirements.
- You will secure customer generated revenues and serve as the main entry point for Air, Road & Ocean freight both internally and externally.
- Your Marketing & Sales activities will be divided between primarily outside Marketing & Sales (i.e. customer visits) and inside Marketing & Sales (i.e. acquisition by Phone & Emails – both warm & cold).
- You advise your customer and propose custom-made services according to their requirements. You participate in the elaboration of the sales offer and discuss with the customer the terms and conditions of the contract. For that purpose, you negotiate the prices according to the pricing policy of our Company.
- You will ensure to follow-up of the sale until the payment and you may need to take part in the commercial management and settlement of claims and litigations.
- You participate in the definition of business strategy and corporate marketing. As a true ambassador of the company with customers, you follow and analyze the economic and social changes of your perimeter and raise the relevant information to your hierarchy. You actively participate in sharing best practices with the rest of the team. You define and implement your own Commercial Action Plan with your MD.
- You closely work with the customer service (Declaration officer, import & export officers, port clerk) team to develop supply chain solutions
- You will negotiate with suppliers the best conditions adapted to customers.
- You will monitor the progress of the shipment until final destination.
- You will participate to the contract setting and monitor customers’ payment with the Collection Desk.
- You may participate in the management of commercial disputes,
- Besides, you may have to ensure a competitive intelligence and occasionally carry out marketing studies for the development of our organization.
- You will report your commercial pipeline Report to MØ FREIGHT COMPANY LTD and Region Branches to develop Supply Chain Service. This will indicate Query raised by EAC & SADC clients.
- You work with MØ FREIGHT COMPANY LTD & other branches to share sales leads (potential business of your customers related to other branches area)
- In addition, as member of our Marketing & Sales force, you ensure the recognize, mention and communicate possible other logistic services, such as our multimodal transport, Courier , overland development and storing solutions towards your customers’ portfolio, and share this with the Sales team in order to promote and follow up.
- Responsible for all marketing and sales strategies activities within the company.
- You will Research and analyses market trends competitor’s offerings, demographics, and other information that affect Logistic Supply Chain.
- Sales tactics, marketing strategy and promotional activities is part of your assignment as per JD
- MD will Approves all marketing campaigns and plans before they are implemented.
- You will Works with other company marketing officers to establish marketing objectives for our company to develop.(this will depends on scheduals)
- Monitors marketing and sales performance and adjusts strategies as needed, Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
- Achieve agreed upon Marketing & Sales targets to outcomes within schedule
- Supply management with reports on customers' needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products
- Inform regular customers on new products or services, price changes & Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
- Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time
- Persists in sales even in the face of failure. Finds ways to sell products in the face of a down market.
- Creates a plan for gaining customers and then retaining them based on warranties or guarantees.
- Analyzes and creates a plan for engaging the target market, Analyzes the competition to create a plan for engagement
- Makes product appeal to the target market
- Schedules appointments and meetings as necessary
- Training, demonstration, and support to customers.
- Sets up booths at trade shows and demonstrates the quality or uses of a product
- Demonstrates superior time management skills and meets sales deadlines
- Perform any other duties assigned by the MD
- Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence.
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
- Present sales revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the MD.
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
- He or She will use social media platforms to connect with your audience to build the company brand, increase sales, and drive website traffic
- He or She will be responsible of conduct negotiations with clients to reach a profitable bargain.
- Interact with customers to identify their requirements and assist them on their imports and export that meets their specifications.
- Obtain customer feedback, and assist with the resolution of customer issues or challenges.
- Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence.
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
- Design and implement unique marketing strategies that are aligned with our business targets and corporate goals.
- Increase web traffic through the development of digital campaigns

Skills, Qualifications and Requirements
• He or She must have a knowledge how to draft a manually assessment according to the nature of goods imported or exported, how to prepare import cost full import charges of goods using the proforma invoice according to the nature of good intended to be imported or exported.
• He or she must know all the tariff book in terms of all Hs code according to the nature of the Goods intended to be imported and exported
• He or She Must know all the clearance procedures (Import Export) and Requirement in terms of Automotive Product and Parts, Dry Food and Frozen Food Product, Non Food Product, Factories Machines and Normal Machines + Parts, House Hold Product, Normal Chemical and Hazardous Chemical, Medicine and Medical Devices, Tools and Hardwares Construction Material, Bulk Cloth, Timber and Wood craft, Seeds and Fertilizer, Minerals, Non-Alcohol Liquid Drinks and Alcohol Liquid Drinks, Raw Material.
• He or she must have a strong knowledge how to handle Transit Goods, interms of all requirement and procedures.
• Highly motivated by challenges, your negotiation skills and your ability to close deals will be essential in achieving your goals.
• You must have knowledge of tender process and management.
• You must have a good understanding of transportation industry,Clearing and Freight Forward Industry, in particular international Air, Ocean Freight and related cost and revenue drivers
• MBA / Bachelor Marketing and Sales / Postgraduate degree in International Trade Clearing and Freight Forwarding.
• Proven track record of Marketing & Sales in a similar role in Transportation Logistics based in Clearing & Freight Forwarding industry
• Minimum of 5-10 year experience in Airfreight, Road Freight, Sea Freight & Rail Freight - Logistics Supply Chain Industry
• Excellent commission structure is offered when the candidate will rich the goals set by the company.
• He/She must have geographical knowledge of DSM and joining regions
• He/She should should be a local Indian / Asian knows all the clearing and freight forward procedure should have 5 - 10 years’ experience in the field of marketing.
• The candidate should be responsible for Arranging Appiointment with Clients Meeting and getting new clients for the business
