Job Description
Objective: To administrate country Information System and Information Technology in order to maintain it in operational conditions and developing it to reach SLA commitments and that satisfies operational expectations (level of service).
Contribute to raise the MIS budget
- Supervise MIS Human resources (see deliverables here after)
- Plan, organize and assign tasks to the MIS team to ensure project achievements (Administration, project management, capacity planning)
- Custodian of the technical architecture (infrastructure), he is the mister “Build” and advise its evolution until implementation
- Manage MIS projects/major change in the state of the art: express of needs from users, planning of implementation (priorities), specifications book, tender, supplier choice, acceptance letter
- Must be the custodian of the group norms and policies respect: Use only Business applications/MIS services compliant with client IT catalog to address users’ needs
- Apply client's security policies regarding physical accesses (secured computer room, switching, Wi-Fi, Internet via firewall), implementation of group authorized malware protection, and user rights over systems and businesses application Assistant MIS Manager’s Job description for the client
- Provide cost effective solutions
- Request for Proposal (RFP): Regularly launch tenders to increase the suppliers base, SLA’s and save the costs
- Communicate with governmental institutions like Revenue Authority or Ports Authority and comply with government regulations (including copyright laws)
- Techno watch, anticipate new technologies by participating to shows, exhibitions, trainings… • Ensure knowledge transfer to the other member of the MIS team
- Part of the technical escalation procedure for “Service Desk” issues resolution • Document the Information System (technical architecture diagram, specifications…)
Requirements
MIS deliverables:
MIS Human resources management:
- Appraisals (MIS team, define objectives with measurable KPIs) by end of November. Frequency = YEARLY
Global IT management:
- MIS Action plane update. Frequency = MONTHLY • Capacity planning (mainly for telecommunications and hardware but also human resources). Frequency = QUATERLY • MIS budget construction (pre-budget by end of July, budget by mid-September). Frequency = YEARLY
Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science • ITIL foundations certification would be an advantage • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Active Directory environment • Knowledge in network/telecom (Cisco certifications appreciated) • Knowledge in IBM AS/400 environment would be an advantage EXPERIENCE • 10 years’ relevant experience in IT
