Job Description
The Community Engagement Manager would be responsible for creating and maintaining an
engaged community of our patrons (our customers, partners, influencers, institutions we work with etc).
You will ensure that our community strategy & approach is –
- aligned with the Business & Marketing objectives;
- consistent with our brand personality and creative strategy;
- backed by research, data & consumer insights;
- based on a solid understanding of the market, community management
- techniques and tools/ platforms;
- tailored for the target audience segments and across the consumer funnel & life cycle - AIDA + AUR (acquisition, usage retention);
- relevant for the objective and with clearly defined ‘success metrics’/ KPIs;
- continuously measured, reported, and optimized.
You will
- Work with our community to listen to what our customers want/ need/ expect and respond to conversations on & about us;
- Identify and create opportunities for proactive community outreach/engagement - both online as well as offline;
- Monitor competition for their community engagement initiatives andS entiments;
- Feed insight back to the teams so we can continuously improve and evolve the product and its features;
- Guide the content & response framework to ensure consistent and strong messaging across the user journey and across platforms;
- Work with Influencers and Media (in partnership with the content team) to facilitate and drive community engagement and participation;
- Liaise with cross-functional stakeholders to stay updated on new marketing initiatives, product, and service developments
Requirements
- Skills And Capabilities We Believe Are Highly Relevant Include
- 3 years of proven experience in a Community Management role
- Bachelors/Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant subject area
- An entrepreneurial and result oriented mindset
- Analytical and data driven
- Excellent Communication & interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of Sub-saharan markets & digital media landscape
- Superior time management and very organized
- Fluent English speaker and writer, ideally with local language skills
